Hello! I welcome you to my website and hope you will be a frequent visitor. This site deals primarily with my text, Dark Energy: A Lyrical Exploration into the"darkside" of Love, Life, Death, Society, and the Future, but will also serve as a forum for discussion regarding the human condition.
Regarding my text, I chose a lyrical format to express my thoughts, experiences, and observations because I feel this form of communication represents the most popular form of information readily internalized today. (Note our cultural obsession with IPODs, ringtones, and music as a whole.) The overriding goal of this text is to ask the reader to understand, recognize, and identify the "darkness" that resides in themselves and others and attempt to negate these tendencies by utilizing this energy in a socially acceptable manner which may avert disaster, or individually, lead themselves towards self-actualization.
I ask the reader to utilize the blank pages placed adjacent to each "song" to express their immediate response, add a chorus or addition reflecting their personal experiences or thoughts, and/or put these lyrics to music and relay them to me privately via this link. It is my hope that this exercise in self-inspection will yield a variety of responses, emcompassing several perspectives, for possible inclusion in a follow-up text*.
